Throughout my childhood and my schooling career it became very evident that my career path would be in the medical field .My passion and fascination with the human body grew stronger as I volunteered at various hospitals and hospices throughout high school. Apart from achieving top academic results in grade 12, I was a prefect, peer counselor and TADA counselor. I was one of the few scholars that were selected for a full provincial bursary to study medicine which then made a little girls dream a reality.
My internship which was best served at Addington Hospital in 2004 gave me great insight into each of the medical faculties. I believe that my training at Addington hospital definitely sharpened my clinical and trauma management skills and paved the way for my further studies. During my training I completed many courses that assisted me in managing patients holistically namely ACLS, BLS, Forensic Medicine ,Medical Law, Ethics and Emergency medicine and HIV/AIDS Clinical Management Program.
Working in many rural areas as a senior medical officer from 2006, made me realize a desire to pursue a career in health care management. That training led me to enroll for my MBA.
My MBA knowledge allowed me to apply integrative and critical thinking skills in the business environment .I was able to assist in crafting and implementing business strategies. It was also crucial in anticipating and analyzing trends in the business environment that lead me to apply for further studies in growing field of aesthetic medicine.
I pride myself in trying to learn latest techniques and provide patients with a holistic approach to facial contouring. I believe that physicians with a special interest in aesthetics have the knowledge and skills to perform non surgical cosmetic procedures effectively with less down time and obtain results often better than surgery.
